Hi Paul....I guess we have a bit in common....worked for CSC (as did my business parter Cjaer Kaer); PhD research on ONA related work, interest in Web 2.0 and I've even met some Raytheon ONA people at Rob Cross' Network Roundtable the year before last....

To read my paper, point your browser to http://www.powersourcesolutions.com, click on Resources on the left navigation menu, and select the first file "Capital Connectivity Performance". I look forward to your thoughts on it.

I'd also like to see the work you've done. Thanks.

Paul, it has been my desire to work with Tracy Cox and the Performance Consulting group for the last couple years, but unfortunately other factors have made that impossible as of yet. Though that hasn't stopped my interest in ONA and the larger picture of social capital that encompasses it.

In fact, I recently sent a number of RPS colleagues a recent paper of mine on the subject (I also posted it on a thread to the ONA-prac) which I would be glad to share with you.

You might also be interested in some of the work another colleague of mine here at RPS Troy that looks at Technology Security from both a technological and sociological basis (of which ONA is a definite part).

Hi Paul, Yes, we do have some similar background. My interest in organizational development, leadership, change, and now social networks, has grown exponentially since I recognized that smart engineering and process skills can't solve organizational challenges on their own. I started a business with my wife, and over time read many books, took seminars and classes, and networked with working consultants in the field of OD. At that point, I wasn't ready to do that work on my own even though I was so interested. I decided to build a bridge from technology to the business side of things through my experience as an entrepreneur to become a business analyst. I also decided an MBA would provide great options for my career path. I'm still developing where that path is going - I have such broad interests, but I'm energized by how organizations and groups form and change. Right now I'm developing the organizational change management methodology for my firm (a business/IT consulting firm). Though I'm doing this in my "spare" time (considering I'm fully utilized on unrelated projects, and I'm in school). Do you have a suggestion for how to get more involved in the networks about networks? I'd like to connect more with people who are doing this work so I can develop practical, useful, effective methodology and guide my company to apply it.

What is the nature of your work now? What are you exploring?
