As you all probably know, when conducting an organizational network analysis there are many measures or metrics used to quantify relationships. Some of the most basic measures for social network data include density and centrality (degree, closeness…

Hi John, I will indeed take a look, though I need a bit of time before I'll get to it. It's crunch time on some projects at school - MBA at U of Chicago - and I'm also working on a new venture. Thanks for the thoughtful comments, and I look forward to taking a look at NetView. Innovation, knowledge flow, influence and collaboration are all areas of interest of mine.

Hi John,

Thanks for your message. I don't know if you've had the same experience as a Fowler, but almost everyone I meet asks if I know this Fowler or that Fowler, and I don't know any of them! I'm pleased to meet you!

I have done a few ONA projects in my MBA program, and that has led me to work with NetDraw and UCINet and to follow the ONA network here. I received some valuable insight from several members for my projects. I'm more of a generalist in consulting with a bent toward new business ventures, strategy, and realizing a vision through effective organizations. I see places to apply ONA everywhere, though I'm often not sure how to apply it quickly or how to integrate it with other venture-building activities.

Would love to hear more about your work and about NetView.

Hi, John,

I have used both UCINET/Netdraw and Inflow. Have been trying to find time to learn NodeXL. How about you? There's a not-started discussion on software -- interested in starting that to talk about software? Would love to hear about Netview.
